Scanning problems with windows 10 i have two canon scanners. a canonscan lide110 and a canonscan lide220. since switching to windows 10. i am unable to use either of these scanners on either of my two desktop pcs. i have followed all the instructions advised by canon; unplug usb and try in another port, try another usb cable, uninstall - reinstall all the software. still not luck. their latest. Hi @don--18,. i'd be happy to help you get your scan software working. i understand you have just upgraded to windows 10 and you have a usb connection. let's start by running the hp print and scan doctor, and if it can not identify or resolve the issue, we can run the printer install wizard to ensure you have the necessary software for windows 10.. If your scanner is not supported in windows 7 or newer, you will need to use an earlier operating system with the scanner, use a third-party scan software solution, or consider an upgrade to a newer scanner that will work with the newer windows operating system.. The windows fax and scan utility can't start up because it can't access the documents folder, where it saves the scans. then i tried the windows 10 scan app. it saves by default to the pictures folder. it, too, could not save to the default....
